Renew Clinic’s Beauty timeline

Your skin changes, your body changes, your approach to ageing can change too.

At Renew Clinic in Nantwich, Cheshire, we believe medical aesthetics should be about understanding how you are changing  and helping you decide what, if anything, you would like to do about it.

Led by Dr Ryan Hamdy, Renew Clinic takes a medical, considered and personalised approach to aesthetic care. The clinic has been established in Nantwich as a provider of cosmetic dermatology and facial aesthetic treatments, with a broad range of options addressing skin quality, lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, facial volume, body concerns and other visible signs of ageing.

Ageing isn’t a single event. It happens gradually, and differently for everyone.

There is a useful way to understand that journey: every 25 years brings a new chapter in how our skin, face and body change.

To 25 years

FOCUS: Build the foundations

In the first 25 years, your skin is generally at its most resilient.

Collagen and elastin are plentiful, cell turnover is relatively efficient and the skin is usually able to recover quickly. But this is also when cumulative exposure to the sun, pollution and lifestyle factors begins to influence the future appearance of your skin.

Acne, scarring, pigmentation, redness and uneven texture can also become concerns.

The focus: Protect & prevent

This is the time to establish good skin-health habits and, where appropriate, address specific concerns before they become more established.

Never sleep in makeup; double-cleanse nightly, Protect the neck and décolletage as diligently as the face.

At Renew Clinic: Options may include:

  • Medical-grade skincare
  • Chemical peels
  • LED treatments
  • Medical skin needling
  • Treatments for acne and acne scarring
  • IPL and laser treatments for selected pigmentation and vascular concerns
  • Specialist advice on daily SPF and skin protection.

The objective isn’t to look younger.
It’s to give your skin the best possible foundations for the decades ahead.

25 – 50 years

FOCUS: Revert the first visible signs of ageing

For many people, the late twenties, thirties and forties are when ageing starts to become visible.

Fine lines may appear around the eyes and forehead. Skin can become less hydrated and radiant. Years of UV exposure can reveal itself through pigmentation and changes in texture.

At the same time, the gradual reduction in collagen and elastin begins to affect firmness and elasticity.

Facial movement also becomes increasingly important. Lines created by repeated expressions can eventually remain visible when the face is at rest.

And while we often think about ageing as something that happens to the skin, it is also happening beneath it — with gradual changes in facial fat compartments, bone and soft tissue contributing to changes in facial shape.

Maintain | Stimulate | Restore

This is where medical aesthetics can offer a particularly broad range of solutions.
Depending on your individual needs, treatment options may include:

  • Anti-wrinkle treatments
Used to reduce the appearance of selected expression lines by temporarily reducing the activity of specific muscles.
  • Dermal fillers
Used selectively to restore lost volume, enhance definition or soften particular facial contours.
  • Skin boosters and injectable moisturisers
Designed to improve hydration and skin quality rather than simply adding volume.
  • Profhilo®
A hyaluronic-acid treatment designed around skin remodelling and improving skin quality and laxity rather than simply filling wrinkles.
  • Medical skin needling
A collagen-induction treatment that can help improve the appearance of fine lines, texture and scarring.
  • Chemical peels
Used to improve selected concerns including uneven texture, dullness, pigmentation and signs of photodamage.
  • Laser and IPL treatments
Technologies that can be used for carefully selected concerns such as pigmentation, redness, vascular changes and skin rejuvenation.
  • Radiofrequency treatments
Using controlled heat within the skin to support collagen remodelling and improve the appearance of laxity.

50 – 75 years

FOCUS: Regenerate, Restore, Refine

The years around and after menopause can bring some of the most noticeable changes in skin and body composition.

Collagen production declines, skin can become thinner and drier, and elasticity reduces. Facial volume and the distribution of soft tissue can change, potentially affecting the cheeks, temples, lips, jawline and area around the eyes.

The neck, décolletage and hands can begin to show cumulative sun exposure too.

Meanwhile, changes in hormones, muscle mass and body composition can alter how the body looks and feels.

Regenerate | Restore | Refine

At this stage, an individualised combination of treatments can sometimes address several different aspects of ageing rather than focusing on a single line or wrinkle.
Depending on your consultation, options may include:

Profhilo® for skin quality and laxity
Profhilo® Structura for selected facial rejuvenation needs
Dermal fillers where restoration of volume or definition is appropriate
Anti-wrinkle treatments for dynamic lines
PRP treatments using your own platelet-rich plasma
Medical skin needling to stimulate collagen production
IPL skin rejuvenation
Radiofrequency facial rejuvenation
Advanced chemical peels
Medical-grade skincare programmes
Body treatments addressing selected concerns such as cellulite, laxity and localised fat
Fractional laser and laser resurfacing

Renew’s established treatment offering includes body-focused technologies such as radiofrequency and cryolipolysis, as well as treatments for cellulite and vascular concerns.

FOCUS: Skin health & well-being at any age.

There is no age at which you have to stop caring about your skin.

Later-life skin tends to need a different approach. It may be thinner, drier and more fragile, with reduced elasticity and a greater accumulation develop pigmentation and loss of elasticity. Hands can become thinner and more veiny. Body composition changes. Cellulite can become more noticeable. Unwanted veins may develop. Scars and stretch marks can of sun-related changes.

At this stage, the objective isn’t necessarily to reverse every sign of ageing.

It can be much simpler:

The neck and décolletage can develop pigmentation and loss of elasticity. Hands can become thinner and more veiny. Body composition changes. Cellulite can become more noticeable. Unwanted veins may develop. Scars and stretch marks can remain visible for decades.

Renew Clinic offers treatments addressing a wide range of aesthetic concerns beyond facial ageing, including cellulite, body contouring, scars, stretch marks, unwanted hair, thread veins and pigmentation.

We will ask you: “What has changed, what concerns you, and what would you like to achieve?”

The modern approach to ageing

Medical aesthetics has evolved considerably.

Today, treating ageing does not have to mean dramatically changing the way you look.

The aim can instead be to understand the changes that have happened, protect the health and quality of your skin, and make carefully considered improvements that allow you to continue looking like you.

At Renew Clinic, we can work with different layers of the ageing process:
The most appropriate treatment is not necessarily the newest treatment, and it is rarely the same treatment for everyone.
